Former Goalkeeper Excels on the Ice

Lehmann was a goalkeeper for the Cowgirl soccer team in 2003 and helped lead the Cowgirls to a 15-5-3 record, Big 12 Championship and OSU's only NCAA Tournament appearance in school history.
Lehmann will switch her focus from protecting the net to attacking the net as the co-captain plays forward for the Swiss team.
Switzerland opens Olympic competition against the United States on Saturday. the game will be televised live at noon locally on USA. Lehmann's remaining two games will be shown as well on Monday at 11:30 a.m. CDT against Finland and on Tuesday at noon against Germany. The last two games will both be televised on MSNBC and Universal HD.
As a goalie for the Cowgirls, Lehmann received several individual accolades. She was named to the Big 12 All-Newcomer Team and second team All-Big 12. She also was named the 2003 Big 12 Tournament Defensive MVP shutting out both Texas and Kansas on OSU's way to the tournament championship.
There are eight teams competing in women's hockey at the Olympics. The top two teams in each group will advance to the medal rounds to be held next Friday and Saturday.
