Slavikova Sets NCAA Provisional Qualifying Mark at ISU Classic

Also in the 3k, sophomore Eva Tomankova ran a time of 9:52.74 to finish 11th, while junior Stephanie Lovely set a personal record time of 10:45.00. Lovely's time was a 10 second improvement from her previous mark.
OSU picked up an impressive performance in the mile run from freshman Nina Andersson. Andersson, who competed against 94 other runners, finished sixth with a personal record time of 4:50.80. Sophomore Mary Davies finished with a personal record time of 4:59.89. It was Davies first competition of the indoor season.
In the 5,000-meter, sophomore Maria Trejo and redshirt freshman Brittany Hill improved their personal records by 33 and 31 seconds. The duo ran times of 18:12.88 and 18:17.00, respectively.
The Pokes received added support from Sarah Walker and Melissa N'Dubilo in the 400-meter dash. The seniors finished with personal record marks of 58.68 and 59.02.
In the field events, OSU was led by sophomore jumper Moira Steyn. Steyn, a native of
Freshman Mateja Posavec leaped 39'4” (11.99-meters) in the triple jump, while Steyn then jumped 38'6.25” (11.74-meters).
Freshman Baiba Blumbaha had two solid performances in the 60-meter hurdles (9.69) and the long jump (17'08.75”). Blumbaha will take the experience that she gains from the indoor season to develop into a strong competitor during the outdoor heptathlon.
OSU was then led by sophomore LaKendra Greathouse in the shot put. Greathouse finished 23rd with a throw of 46'1.25” (14.05-meters), while freshman Merritt Dietz had a mark of 41'6.5” (12.66-meters).
Sophomore Deleanor Kirkpatrick was the lone competitor in the weight throw for the Cowgirls as she threw 53'01” (16.18-meters).
OSU will continue indoor action Saturday, Feb. 18, as they travel a limited number of competitors to the Sooner Indoor in
