Cowboy Golf Remains In Second Place At UHH Intercollegiate

The second-ranked Cowboys entered the day four shots off the pace of the Yellow Jackets but finished the second round 14 shots back after a round of 289 to stand at 7-under-par with a a 561 total through 36 holes. Tech fired a round of 279 to come in at 547, 21-under.
In the individual race, OSU sophomore Pablo Martin held a one-stroke lead heading into the day, but slipped into second place after a round of 70. The Malaga, Spain native's 36-hole total of 134, 8-under, is two shots behind the Yellow Jackets' Cameron Tringale, who followed up his opening round of 65 with a 67 on Thursday.
Cowboy freshman Trent Leon posted a 1-over 72 to move up one spot into a tie for 10th place with a 2-under score of 140, while redshirt freshman Jonathan Moore moved up from a tie for 34th into a 28th-place tie after his score of 73 gave him a 143 total.
Junior Tyler Leon followed up his opening round of 70 with a 74 to slip one place into a tie for 35th at 144.
Senior Zack Robinson rounded out the lineup with a 75 that put him at 145 and tied for 39th place.
The Cowboys will return to the 6,777-yard, par-71 layout for tomorrow's final round at 7 a.m. local time.
