Cowgirls Fall to Texas in Big 12 Semifinals, 2-0

“We will wait find out where we are going on Monday,” co-head coach Colin Carmichael said. “We will be disappointed tonight, but we will bounce back and be ready for next weekend.”
The Cowgirls got off to a strong start getting a couple of good looks at the goal. Jesyca Rosholt had a shot at the near post saved, and Bridget Miller kicked a low shot through traffic that keeper Dianna Pfenninger dropped to the ground to cover up.
Those were two of the best chances OSU had at getting a goal. The Cowgirls had four shots on goal for the game to just two for
UT added to the lead shortly after halftime. Emily Anderson got behind the Cowgirl defense and beat Erin Stigler to give the Longhorns a two goal advantage.
The Cowgirls aggressively attacked in the second half trying to get the goals back. Yolanda Odenyo had two opportunities late in the game. The first came with about 15 minutes remaining when she was left open at the top of the box, but she hit it right to Pfenninger.
