Hendricks Victorious in All-Star Classic

Johny Hendricks was the only Cowboy to win as he defeated rival Mark Perry for the fourth straight time. Juniors Coleman Scott and Nathan Morgan both lost to the top-ranked wrestlers at 133 and 141, respectively. Earlier in the evening,
Scott was the first Cowboy to take the mat against top-ranked Matt Valenti at 133. Valenti got a pair of first period takedowns and took the early lead on Scott. Valenti took control with a second period ride out. Valenti added an escape in the third period to go up 5-2. Scott made it interesting locking up a cradle at the end of the period, but he did not have enough time to get back points and the match ended at 6-5.
Morgan got the first takedown in the second period to go up in the match, but Lang scored a pair of escapes to tie the match going into the third period. Morgan started down and took the lead on an escape in the third period. Morgan appeared to be on his way to a victory, but Lang scored a takedown with two seconds left for a 4-3 victory.
