Bowman Named Semifinalist For Biletnikoff Award

Bowman, a 6-foot-4, 220 pounder, leads the Cowboys with 39 catches for 877 yards and 10 touchdowns. A native of Chattanooga, Tenn., Bowman ranks third nationally with 109.6 receiving yards per game and has caught at least one touchdown pass in six of OSU's eight games this season. He also averages 22.5 yards per reception, which ranks third nationally. Among his performances is a record-setting day at Kansas, where he set Big 12 Conference and OSU marks with 13 catches for 300 yards and four touchdowns. The 300-yard effort against the Jayhawks was also the 11th-best single-game performance in NCAA history.
The winner of the Biletnikoff Award will be announced during the Home Depot College Football Awards Show, which will be broadcast by ESPN on Thursday, December 7, 2006. Voters for the Biletnikoff Award include selected members of the national media and former receivers.
