Cowboy Baseball To Hold World Series
October 05, 2006 | Cowboy Baseball
Oklahoma State baseball will conclude its fall practices with an intrasquad, best-of-five world series beginning Oct. 12, Cowboy head coach Frank Anderson announced today.
The first game of the series will be Thursday, Oct. 12 at 6:30 p.m., with the remaining games scheduled for Oct. 15-18. All games are open to the public and will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium.
Anderson welcomes back 20 players, including six position starters, from a 2006 squad that went 41-20, finished second in the Big 12 Conference standings and was a No. 1 Regional seed in the NCAA Tournament. Joining that group of returners is a top-10 ranked recruiting class of 16 players, 10 of whom are freshmen.
A trio of All-Americans, as well as the reigning Big 12 Player of the Year and four all-conference performers, highlight the OSU roster.
