Oklahoma State Post-Game Notes
Vs. #23/25 Texas A&M Â Oct. 21, 2006
Boone Pickens Stadium
Saturday's game marked Oklahoma State's first overtime contest since a 41-38 loss to Missouri in three overtimes on Oct. 6, 2001 in Stillwater. The Cowboys are now 1-5 all-time in overtime games and have lost five-straight games decided in extra periods.
Senior D'Juan Woods extended his streak of consecutive games with a catch to 28.
Mike Hamilton's first quarter touchdown run was the Cowboys' first touchdown in the opening half of a Big 12 Conference game this season. OSU had not scored a first half touchdown since the Houston game on Sept. 23.
Junior safety Donovan Woods' interception in the second quarter was his first of the season and the third of his career.
Woods' interception was OSU's sixth of the season, and he became the sixth different Cowboy to pick off a pass this season. OSU had just five interceptions in 2005.
Redshirt freshman quarterback Zac Robinson's third quarter touchdown pass to John Johnson was the first touchdown pass of his career.
With his third quarter touchdown grab, sophomore fullback John Johnson has four catches this season, with three of those resulting in touchdowns. Of Johnson's 10 career catches, five have been for touchdowns.
Senior defensive end Victor DeGrate recorded a sack for the fifth consecutive game. DeGrate, who entered the game eighth nationally in sacks, increased his career high to 7.5 sacks in 2006.
Junior running back Dantrell Savage's 134 rushing yards marked the first 100-yard rushing effort of his career.
Savage has two rushing touchdowns on the season. The first came against Florida Atlantic and covered 70 yards, while his score against Texas A&M was a 60 yarder.
Redshirt freshman safety Andre Sexton recorded a career-high 15 tackles. That total also marked the Cowboys' individual single-game high this season.
