2004: Made 19 appearances on the mound this season with four starts ... finished the year with a 3-0 record and 4.09 ERA ... had 36 strikeouts in 43 innings ... gave up two runs in 1.1 innings of work against UCF (6/5) ... made two appearances in the Big 12 Tournament ... started the championship game and gave up six runs on three hits in three innings of work ... recorded the final two outs of the game against Texas in the semifinals ... made first conference start of the year against Missouri (5/22) ... gave up three runs on five hits in five innings and left the game with 6-3 lead ... did not allow a run in 2.1 innings of relief in two appearances against Texas Tech (5/14,5/16) ... allowed a run on one hit in outing against Kansas State (4/23) ... earned a win in relief in a 14-inning game against Kansas (4/18) by throwing the final inning and two-thirds and gave up one run on two hits ... gave up a run on three hits and recorded one out against Baylor (4/9) ... went two innings in relief against Texas A&M (4/2) giving up one run on two hits ... went 5.2 innings of relief and only yielded one run on four hits against Southeast Missouri State (3/31) ... earned a start against Louisiana Tech (3/13) and pitched four innings and allowed four runs, one earned, on six hits ... recorded his first victory against Indiana State (3/7) by throwing three innings of hitless relief ... made his first start of the season against Eastern Michigan (2/15) allowing one run on two hits in two innings of work.

HIGH SCHOOL: A four-year letterwinner in baseball at Santa Fe High ... was named the state player of the year as a pitcher/shortstop in 2001, going 12-1 on the mound with a .545 batting average... was drafted by the New York Mets in the 49th round in June of 2001 ... also lettered two years as a quarterback on the football team.
