Grossmann Earns Second Defensive Player of the Week Honor

Oklahoma State freshman goalkeeper Bettina Grossmann earned her second consecutive Defensive Player of the Week award for in play in goal against Texas on Sept. 23, the conference office announced today.
Grossmann, a native of Landsberg, Germany, recorded five saves while shutting out Texas. It was her second shutout in three starts in goal. Grossmann, a midfielder by trade, has played goal the past three games to fill a hole when OSU's three goalkeepers all went down to injuries.
Grossmann has allowed one goal in her three starts as goalkeeper for a GAA of 0.33. She has recorded nine saves in helping OSU to three wins, two by shutout. Grossmann also has a goal and two assists as a midfielder.
The Cowgirls are home again on Sunday when they face Texas Tech at 1 p.m. at the Cowgirl Soccer Complex. All children eighth grade and younger get in free with the purchase of an adult ticket.
