September 23, 2005 | Cowgirl Cross Country & Track
The meet is one of the most prestigious competitions in the country, and will feature 11 ranked teams and over 300 runners in the women's race.
“Our goal is to try and beat as many ranked teams as we can,” said head coach Rene Sepulveda.
This will be the first meet for the Cowgirls since their opener, on Sept. 3, at the Idaho State Invitational. The Cowgirls finished first with a perfect team score of 15 points and was led by senior Barbora Kuncova (2004 All-Big 12), who won the individual title.
Kuncova will help lead a talented group runners into the invitational, which includes senior Valentina Medina, junior Eva Slavikova and sophomore Mary Davies (2004 Big 12 Newcomer of the Year).
OSU will then look for added support from sophomores Eva Tomankova, Kim Blomkvist, redshirt freshman Brittany Hill, and freshmen Nina Andersson and Anissa Angelosante.
Minnesota will host the 6k event with the start time at noon.
