Cowboys Look for Three Straight
Oklahoma State will be looking to sweep the non-conference portion of its 2005 schedule Saturday night when the Cowboys host Arkansas State. Kickoff at Boone Pickens Stadium is set for 6:05 p.m. as OSU looks to go 3-0 before taking a week off and opening Big 12 Conference play on October 1. Oklahoma State's 2-0 record includes a season-opening win over Montana State and last week's 23-3 win at Florida Atlantic. Arkansas State will come to Stillwater with an overall record of 1-1. The Indians lost their season opener to Missouri 44-7, but came back Saturday and registered a lopsided 56-7 win over Tennessee-Martin in Jonesboro.
Fast Starts
Oklahoma State is 2-0 for a second-straight season and looking to go 3-0 for a second-straight year and for just the third time since 1988. The Cowboys started the 2004 season with five straight wins and won their first six in 1997. Since 1983, the Cowboys have started 3-0 or better seven times.
