2005 Cowboy Football Practice Report #3
Saturday, August 6
Saturday was a busy day for the Cowboys who went through Media Day activities in the morning and signed autographs for more than 6,500 fans in afternoon Fan Day festivities.
First-year head coach Mike Gundy delayed the start of Saturday's workout one hour to accommodate the thousands of fans who attended Fan Day. Approximately 500 people stuck around to see the Cowboys finally hit the practice field at 5:45. The session concluded in the evening at 8:30.
After the third practice of the preseason, Gundy seemed pleased with the early progress. “I thought we had a pretty good day. I was concerned early with some of the throwing and catching, but overall we got better. It was good to see the offense go against the defense.”
Preseason workouts continue Sunday for the Cowboys who are scheduled to go through another session in shorts and shoulder pads at 4:45 p.m., on the grass practice fields.
Workouts are open to the public through August 17.
