2005 Cowboy Football Practice Report #1
Thursday, August 4
Overcast conditions greeted the 104 players that went through their initial fall workout under first-year head coach Mike Gundy. The practice, which lasted two hours and 45 minutes, was conducted on the recently renovated practice fields east of the OSU Athletics Center.
“We were very fortunate that the weather was a nice break for us, and we were under a cloud cover to help us get through this first practice,” Gundy said.
“There was some good effort. The quarterbacks threw the ball well today. There were a couple of freshman that really showed some ability to make a play. It was good to get back out here with the guys and see them work,” the Cowboy head coach added.
The practice was the first of five consecutive acclimatization days to begin fall camp before the squad's first two-session practice day takes place on Tuesday, August 9.
