Cowboy Wrestling Represented at World University Games

Oklahoma State will have three current and former athletes wrestling for the United States at the 2005 World University Games when the games begin next Friday, August 12 in Izmir, Turkey.
OSU heavyweight Steve Mocco will be competing at 120 kg (264.4 lbs.). Mocco will be returning for his senior season after posting a 37-0 record and winning the Dan Hodge Trophy as a junior.
Former Cowboys Tyrone Lewis and Chris Pendleton will be wrestling at 74 kg (163 lbs.) and 84 kg (185 lbs.), respectively. Lewis was a four-time All-American at Oklahoma State finishing as a runner-up in 2004, his highest finish. Pendleton recently completed his eligibility at OSU by winning his second consecutive NCAA championship.
This is the first year that wrestling will be a part of the games, which are now being held for the 23rd year. The freestyle portion of the competition will be held August 13-14.
