August 25, 2005 | Cowboy Football
A: It is close to my hometown. Ever since I was a little kid I have been an Oklahoma State fan.
Q: You were injured during your senior year of high school. How are you feeling now?
A: It is coming a long good. I had surgery in early March. I am still in a green jersey. I have been released for some contact but I cannot go live yet. Shortly, I will be released.
Q: What is your biggest asset on the football field?
A: I have always been a real aggressive player and knowledgeable about the defense. I ran a 4-3 in high school so that has helped me here.
Q: What has been the hardest thing about adjusting to the Division I level?
A: It is just really time consuming. During two a days it takes all your time. It seems like as soon as you close your eyes you are opening them because your alarm went off. It feels like you didn't get any sleep.
Q: How do you feel about the linebacker's performance so far?
A: We have a real strong core of linebackers. We have four senior linebackers so we are really stacked this year. We are going to be really strong and that is going to be one of the strengths of the defense.
Q: Does it help you to come into a situation were you have four seniors who have played a lot?
A: Yeah, you get to look at what it takes and the dedication and worth ethic that you need to succeed on this level.
Q: What have been your impressions of coach Bradford?
A: Coach Bradford is a great guy and real knowledgeable. He knows a lot about football. If you listen to what he tells you you will be successful.
Q: How would you describe coach Bedford?
A: He is real aggressive. I really like him. He is really down to earth. He is really aggresive and likes to blitz. He likes to do a lot of things. He is going to bring a lot to our defense.
Q:What are your personal expectations as a freshman?
A: This year I am going to red shirt. I just want to mature and get bigger and faster. I just need to get ready to play next year.
Q: Did you have a favorite athlete growing up?
A: No, I never really had a favorite athlete. I just took a little bit from different people.
