Cowgirls Receive Academic Honor

STILLWATER, Okla., Â Oklahoma State's women's track and field team was named as one of the National Collegiate Division I All-Academic teams for their accomplishments during the 2005 season.
The Cowgirls earned the honor after compiling a 3.146 grade point average that ranked them 36th nationally.
Four Cowgirls received Academic All-America honors, by earning a 3.25 grade point average or better in the classroom and was an NCAA qualifier or a provisional qualifier. The Cowgirls that earned Academic All-American were seniors Michelle Prowse (4.0) and Valentina Medina (3.786), and sophomores Eva Tomankova and Mary Davies (3.6).
Prowse was one of 16 student-athletes in the nation that earned a 4.0 grade point average during the 2005 track and field season.
