Cowgirl Soccer Fans Show Determination to Support the Program

While Stillwater has turned into a rainforest over the last few weeks, the Cowgirl Soccer team has continued to prepare for the season, which starts Friday, August 26th versus Texas State. The heavy rain and thunderstorms could not dampen the spirits of the players or fans last Saturday night after the exhibition game with Ole Miss was delayed almost two hours. More than 200 diehard Cowgirl Soccer fans waited out the storms to watch the exhibition game. The fans were treated to a solid performance from the Cowgirls in the 2-0 win over Mississippi and got the chance to see the talented newcomers for the first time. Oklahoma State, the Cowgirl Soccer team and head coach Karen Hancock would like to thanks all those fans that braved the weather to watch the exhibition game.
A message from head coach Karen Hancock:
“I would like to personally thank all the people who stayed to watch the exhibition game versus Mississippi. It showed how much support our program has in this community. The coaches and players were truly impressed with the fans determination and perseverance. We are extremely grateful and hope the fans continue to show their support throughout the season.”
