Progress Continues on Turf Replacement
August 18, 2005 | Cowboy Football
The Boone Pickens Stadium turf replacement project continues to make progress. All the yard markers and arrows are cut and are being placed. The Pistol Pete and Big 12 logos are already in place. Crews will be cutting and placing the Oklahoma State lettering in the endzone today and tomorrow. Once that is complete, crews will begin work on stitching together the OSU logo for the middle of the field. Once all logos are placed, sand and rubber particles will be placed into the turf to raise the artificial grass. The project is scheduled to wrap-up for the Student-Athlete Mixer on Sunday, August 28.
The north side of Boone Pickens Stadium also continues as the season home opener gets closer. Construction crews have begun to raise the northeast light tower and northwest concourse ramps. Work continues on the mezzanine and ground level.
