Cowgirls Picked Seventh in Preseason Soccer Poll

Oklahoma State's soccer team was picked seventh in the preseason Big 12 Coaches' Poll as it was announced by the conference office today.

Texas A&M and Nebraska each had five first place votes, but the Aggies edged the Huskers by one point in the voting. Texas received the other first place vote and was third. Kansas and Colorado rounded out the top five.

Missouri edged the Cowgirls for sixth-place, while Oklahoma fell right behind OSU in eighth. Iowa State, Baylor and Texas Tech held down the last three spots at ninth, 10th and 11th, respectively.

Oklahoma State faces Mississippi in an exhibition game this Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Cowgirl Soccer Complex. The Cowgirls open the regular season Friday, Aug. 26 at 7 p.m. against Texas State.
