Turf Replacement Update, Recent Rain Won't Stop Progress
August 17, 2005 | Cowboy Football
The recent rains that have hampered practice time for the Cowboy Football team has not slowed the installation of the new field turf in Boone Pickens Stadium. The installation crew moved their work under the south side of the stadium to continue work while the rains have come down the last few days. On Saturday the crew pre-cut all the numbers and yard markers on the field and left the original turf in place while they stitch together all the logos and cut the numbers and markers. Once all the stitching is finished the crew will remove the new turf and replace it with the logos, numbers and markers. The new turf must be ready by August 28th for the OSU Student-Athlete Mixer, the first event scheduled on the new turf.
