A: It is pretty much all mental. The game is a lot faster but it is all mental. You just have to go out there, concentrate and be consistent.
Q: Oklahoma State has had a run of good special teams units but have to replace a lot this year. Are the expectations still just as high?
A: The expectations are always high for the specialist of Oklahoma State. It is a big legacy that we are carrying on. Coach DeForest expects nothing less than the best.
Q: What are your impressions of coach DeForest?
A: He is a great coach and he pushes us every day. He won't take anything but our best.
Q: What about coach Gundy?
A: He is a great coach. He is very supportive of the special teams. He holds us in high regard.
Q: Why did you choose Oklahoma State?
A: It is a great place. Stillwater is a great town and there is a great fan base. The coaching staff is amazing here. They have great special teams units and I want to be a part of that.
Q: Oklahoma State has had some good kickers and punters in the past. Did you look at that during your recruitment?
A: That is important. The school needed to have a great special teams unit. Oklahoma State has had good special teams units and that is what impressed me the most.
Q: What are you working on the most right now in practice?
A: Timing, mechanics and consistency, stuff like that. Really just working on getting the timing down with the guys.
Q: Is there any added pressure following a punter like Cole Farden, who was valuable to the team in a lot of different roles?
A: I have always put a lot of pressure on myself. Cole Farden was a great kicker but I cannot think about what he did. I just have to think about what I am fixing to do in the next couple of years and do my best.
Q: If you could play any other position for a day what would it be?
A: I played quarterback in high school so I would probably choose quarterback.
Q: What do you do right now to relax?
A: Playstation, I like to play Playstation all the time.
