Cowboys Battle Heat on Day No. 6

2005 Cowboy Football Practice Report #6
Tuesday, August 9
The Cowboys went in full pads for both practices on the grass practice fields, in what has been the hottest of the preseason with temperatures topping 90 degrees.
The Cowboys showed their conditioning and were able to make big plays on both sides of the ball that caught head coach Mike Gundy's eye.
“I thought we had a much better practice this afternoon then this morning,” Gundy said. “We had some heat earlier which was good for us, and then it cooled off in the afternoon. We tried to move them in the shade some as practice went on.
“Ricky Price made some nice plays for us offensively for a true freshman. Ryan McBean made a few plays. Calvin Roberts was another guy that had a good day. Some of these guys are making some strides.”
The Cowboys will have one practice tomorrow afternoon beginning at 4:45 p.m. on the grass practice fields. All workouts are open to the public until August 17.
