Kuncova Qualifies for Finals at NCAA Championships

SACRAMENTO, Calif., - Oklahoma State's Barbora Kuncova qualified for the finals in the 3,000-meter steeplechase on Wednesday, at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Sacramento, Calif.

Kuncova, a junior from Doubravice, Czech Republic, ran a school record time of 10:07.31, as she placed second in her heat during the preliminary runs.

“Barbora did a great job handling the pressure for her first NCAA Championships,” head coach Rene Sepulveda said. “It was a great accomplishment to set a school and personal record.”

The Cowgirls will be back in action at the NCAA Outdoor Championships on Thursday, with senior Delisa McClain (hammer throw), senior Halee Prickett (shot put), junior Alison Erzinger (400-meter dash) and freshman Mary Davies (10k).
