Steve Mocco Nominated For an ESPY Award

Oklahoma State heavyweight Steve Mocco continues to add to his outstanding junior season as he was nominated for a 2005 ESPY Award in the category of Best Male College Athlete.

Mocco dominated on the mat posting a perfect 37-0 record with 17 pins en route to winning his second NCAA championship. The year culminated with Mocco being presented the Dan Hodge Trophy, which is considered the Heisman Trophy of wrestling.

Mocco was nominated with Utah center Andrew Bogut, USC quarterback Matt Leinart, Nebraska third baseman Alex Gordon and forward on Colorado College's hockey team Marty Sertich.

Fans select the winners by voting online at . Voting begins June 24 and ends on July 8.

The ESPY Awards will air on ESPN on July 17 at 8 p.m. at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles.
