One of Oklahoma State's talented running backs, Gold saw limited action in 2004, but has a great physical presence and should help in 2005. 2004: Greg saw action in two games and had 10 carries for 63 yards. 2003: Gold played in five games and rushed for 103 yards on just 14 carries, a 7.4 yards per carry average. His best game was a four-carry performance for 65 yards and a touchdown against Louisiana-Lafayette. 2002: His redshirt season at Oklahoma State. High School: Gold was named All-District 7-5A and a top-100 Texas and area recruit by the Dallas Morning News. He was also a top-50 prospect in the Big 12 region according to First Down Sports, a top-100 Texas recruit by Heartland Recruiting, and a top-200 Texas prospect by Texas Football Magazine. As a junior, Gold was an all-area selection by the Dallas Morning News and the Coca-Cola All-Area Offensive Most Valuable Player. Gold rushed for 1,901 yards and 20 touchdowns as a junior. He came back as a senior with over 1,385 yards rushing and 14 touchdowns, making his two-year total close to 3,300 yards and 34 touchdowns. Gold was also recruited by Northwestern, BYU, Arkansas and Oklahoma. Personal: Born Nov. 11, 1983, Greg is the son of Lamar and Diana Gold. He has one brother, Marcus, and a sister, Veronica. Greg is majoring in education at Oklahoma State.
