McLemore earned his third OSU letter in 2004 and is one of the Cowboys' most experienced members of the secondary returning in 2005. McLemore has tremendous speed, which also makes him a dangerous kick returner. He started nine games a year ago and could be in line for a starting job in the coming season. 2004: McLemore played in all 12 games with seven starts and finished with 37 tackles and four pass breakups. He had five tackles in the Alamo Bowl game against Ohio State. For the season, McLemore also had three kickoff returns for 60 yards. He made one tackle and had a pass breakup against Texas Tech. He had three tackles and one pass breakup against Baylor. He made six tackles and recorded his first interception of the season against Texas. He made four tackles with a pass breakup against Oklahoma and had two tackles in the win over Missouri. He suffered an injury in the first half against the Tigers and missed the second half. He made two tackles against Texas A&M and recorded a career high nine tackles against Colorado. He had a tackle against Iowa State and SMU, and had two stops against Tulsa. He made one tackle against UCLA. 2003: Daniel saw action in all 13 games and finished with 24 total tackles. He had his second career interception and also had a pass break up and a forced fumble. He had two kick returns for 29 yards. 2002: McLemore converted from running back to defensive back upon his arrival in Stillwater and played in 10 of OSU's 13 games. A special teams ace, he contributed 21 tackles and made one interception. He also returned four kicks for 43 yards. He made 10 tackles against Texas Tech, his top performance of the season. High School: McLemore was named all-district and the Offensive Most Valuable Player in District 7-5A. He was also on the state and area top-100 prospects list according to the Dallas Morning News. First Down Sports named him one of the top-50 prospects in the Big 12 region, and he was on the Heartland Recruiting top-100 Texas list. He was chosen and played in the Dallas-Fort Worth Coca-Cola All-Star Game. McLemore rushed for over 1,800 yards and scored 20 touchdowns in his senior season. McLemore was also recruited by Colorado, Wisconsin, LSU, Oklahoma, Ohio State and Louisiana Tech. Personal: Born on Nov. 1, 1982, Daniel is the son of Ruthie Thomas. He has one brother, Marcus, and a sister, Melody. Daniel is majoring in education at Oklahoma State.
