June 28, 2005 | Cowboy Football
Caleb Noble returns to Oklahoma State where he made significant contributions two years ago on both sides of the football. Noble started five games on the offensive line in 2003 and helped the Cowboys to a Cotton Bowl berth against Ole Miss. He's one of the strongest players on the squad, and that strength will serve him well on either side of the ball. 2004: Noble spent the 2004-05 academic year at Dartmouth College in Hanover, N.H., but did not participate in any games. It is considered his redshirt year. 2003: Caleb earned his second varsity letter and started his first collegiate game at SMU at left guard. He went on to start against Kansas State, and the final three games of the season, including the Cotton Bowl. 2002: Noble moved into a prominent role on the offensive line after seeing mostly scout team duty in the first half of the season. He played in five games, predominantly in short yardage situations, earning his first letter at OSU. High School: Noble was named to the Oklahoma Coaches Association McDonald's All-State game played in August of 2002 following his senior year. He was named the District 2A-2 Defensive Player of the Year in 2001, and was also a Class 2A All-Star that season. Noble was named second-team All-State along the defensive line according to the Daily Oklahoman, and he was honorable mention All-State according to the Tulsa World. He won the 2002 Region 1 Powerlifting Championship as a super heavyweight, and he also set state records in the bench press (425 lbs.) and the deadlift (645 lbs.). He helped lead his team to the Class 2A State Championship in 1999, his sophomore season. In the title game, he recorded 17 tackles. Personal: Born June 3, 1984, Caleb is the son of Jerry and Rita Noble. He is majoring in criminal justice at Oklahoma State.
