STILLWATER, Okla. Â Oklahoma State junior first baseman Adam Carr (Felton, Calif.) was named a third-team All-American by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association today.
Carr finished the year as the Big 12 leader in homers (22) and RBIs (86) and led the nation in both categories for most of the regular season.
He ended the campaign with a .336 batting average to go along with 10 doubles, five triples and a team best .702 slugging percentage. The slugger also led OSU in hits (79) and runs scored (54) while starting in all 59 games this year.
Carr is the second Cowboy to receive national honors this year as outfielder Corey Brown was named a Freshman All-American by Collegiate Baseball newspaper last week.
