Oklahoma Defeats Oklahoma State 5-4 In 11 Innings

The game went into extra innings after Corey Brown tied the game in the bottom of the ninth with an RBI single up the middle. Brown finished the game 3-for-4 with two RBIs.
The game see-sawed back and forth after the Cowboys took a 3-2 lead in the seventh, but gave it up in the eighth when Brown made a wild throw to third base to score a run and put the Sooners up 4-3.
Will Savage pitched the final four innings for OU to earn his team leading eighth victory on the season and run his record to 8-3.

The Cowboys squandered an opportunity in the bottom of the inning when Chris Gutierrez reached third via a leadoff double and a balk. He was stranded, however, as Justin Colbert grounded out to third and Keanon Simon and Corey Brown both followed with strikeouts.
The Sooners added a lone run in the fourth on an RBI groundout by Jackson Williams.
The Cowboys scored two runs in the bottom of the fifth to tie the game. Carr led off the inning with a double to right center for his first hit of the series. Carr scored on a groundout by Gutierrez and Justin Colbert scored on a RBI single by Brown.
OSU took the lead in the seventh when Gutierrez led off the inning with a bloop double to center. A sacrifice bunt and a squeeze by Simon scored Gutierrez, but OU promptly tied the game on a homerun by Kevin Smith in the top of the eighth.
The three game series averaged over 11,000 fans per contest with a total attendance of 33,669.
