Cowboys Extend Lead At Big 12 Championship

The Cowboys, who have a two-day total of 581, 5-over, posted the day's low score in wet and windy conditions. Second-round action was delayed until 9:40 a.m. and encountered another 30-minute stoppage approximately two hours later.
OSU held a five-shot advantage over Oklahoma after Friday's opening round and will take a seven-shot lead over the Sooners into tomorrow's action. Missouri wrapped up play in third place and 11 shots off the pace.
With only two players breaking par on the day, Cowboy senior Alex Norén tied three other players for the second-lowest score, carding an even-par 72. The number pushed the Stockholm, Sweden, native from a tie for fifth into sole possession of fourth place at 2-under 142. Norén will begin the final round two shots off the pace of Oklahoma's Justin Fraley and Anthony Kim for the individual lead.
Sophomore Tyler Leon began the day tied for second after a 68 on Friday, but ended the round alone in fifth place at 1-under 143 after a second-round 75.
Junior Zack Robinson followed up his first-round 74 with a 73 to move up six spots into a tie for 10th place at 147, while freshman Pablo Martin came in tied for 12th at 150 after a round of 77.
Sophomore Ryan Posey rounded out the OSU lineup with a 76 to move from a tie for 28th into a six-way deadlock for 22nd place at 153.
The Cowboys will begin the final round of competition at 8:50 a.m. tomorrow and will be paired with Oklahoma and Missouri.
