Oklahoma State looks to get back on the winning track in Big 12 play on the road this weekend against Texas Tech. The Cowboys and Red Raiders will open the set on Friday at 6:30 p.m. with a 2 p.m. start on Saturday and a 1 p.m. first pitch on Sunday.
About Texas Tech:
Texas Tech is 20-10 on the year after defeating Angelo State, 11-6, on Wednesday. The Red Raiders dropped two of three to Missouri in Columbia over the weekend and stand in eighth place in the conference with a 3-5 mark.
Outfielder Cody Fuller leads the team with a .408 batting average in 29 games overall, while also batting a team best .346 in eight league games. Shortstop Cameron Blair leads the team with eight homers and 33 RBIs as Tech is hitting .317 as a team with 21 homers and 235 runs scored on the year.
Righthanders Adam Lawford (2-3, 4.82 ERA) and Brian Wyatt (3-3, 2.86 ERA) will be in the rotation for the Red Raiders this weekend, while Sundays starter is to be determined.

Arkansas-Pine Bluff Recap
Oklahoma State pounded out 13 homers and 37 hits in a doubleheader sweep over Arkansas-Pine Bluff, 21-2 and 28-4, in baseball action Tuesday afternoon at Reynolds Stadium.

The Pokes scored early and often in game one with four runs in the first, three in the second, seven in the third and six in the fourth. Carr finished the game with three homers in five plate appearances with eight RBIs. added a grand-slam, his seventh round tripper of the year, while also joined the barrage with his first homer of the year.

Arkansas-Pine Bluff took a 1-0 first inning lead in the nightcap on a RBI single by Aaron Wright, but it did not last as Oklahoma State broke through for seven runs in the second.
OSU added five runs in the third and completely blew the game open with a 10-run fifth. They would score six more runs in the sixth to close out the scoring. The Pokes hit eight homers in the game with and leading the way with two each. was 2-for-4 with a homer, triple and seven RBIs, while Ty Wright, , and each chipped in with a home run.

Cowboys Improve On 2004 Power Numbers
The Cowboy offense has surpassed several of their power numbers from 2004 just six games over the halfway point this season.
With the 13 homers hit against Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Tuesday, the Pokes moved ahead of the 48 hit a season ago and now have 56 on the year. The Pokes have also roped 20 triples, six more than last season, while also improving on last years .447 team slugging percentage with a .569 mark entering the weekend.
has already hit more homers than s 12 of a year ago and the Cowboys have five more players that could hit double-digit homers this year.
Carrs Five Homer Day Puts Him Into National Lead
s five homer day against Arkansas-Pine Bluff catapulted him into the national lead in homers entering the weekend. Carr has 15 homers, two more than Arizona States Jeff Larish and LSUs Ryan Patterson. The Felton, Calif., products homer total is the most by a Cowboy since Paul Powell hit 15 in 2002. Carr is currently hitting .381 with a Big 12 best 59 RBIs entering the weekend. He also leads the conference in hits (53) and total bases (114) and is second in slugging percentage (.820) and triples (4).

Nebraska Recap
Oklahoma State continued its struggles in Lincoln, losing all three games to Nebraska for the third straight time. The Cowboys have lost 11 straight to the Huskers in Lincoln dating back to the 1999 season and could not reverse the trend last weekend.
Nebraska hit three homers off of Cowboy ace in the 8-4 series opening win last Friday. The Cowboys rallied from a 3-0 deficit to tie the game in the fifth when hit a two-run triple to right-center and scored on the next at-bat. The Huskers took the lead in the bottom half, but tied it in the sixth on a RBI double down the rightfield line. NU took control of the game with two runs in the bottom of the inning and added two more unearned runs in the seventh to put the game away.
Oklahoma State was then handcuffed offensively the next two games, getting shutout 6-0 on Saturday and 10-0 on Sunday. It marked the first time since 1976 that the Cowboys had been blanked in back-to-back games.
Monsma Makes Most Out Of Opportunity
Junior southpaw made the most of his first ever Big 12 outing against Nebraska last weekend. He pitched 2.2 innings of scoreless relief on Saturday with three strikeouts and a walk, while giving up two hits to the Huskers. Monsma has done the job in four relief appearances this year and has not allowed a run in six innings of relief with six strikeouts.
McDonald Looks Sharp
Another junior lefthander that is coming into form is who pitched two innings of scoreless relief against Nebraska over the weekend. He carried that into his stint against Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Tuesday by pitching two innings of perfect relief with four strikeouts in the second game of the doubleheader. On the season he is now 1-0 with a 2.92 ERA in seven relief appearances. The Yukon, Okla., product has struck out 12 batters in 12.1 innings and is the Cowboys top southpaw out of the bullpen.
On Deck
The Cowboys will return home for its final homestand of the year. OSU will open the eight-game stay against regional rival Wichita State next Tuesday at 7 p.m. It will be the first meeting in Stillwater between the teams since the 1996 season. The Cowboys will then host Big 12 leading Missouri next weekend starting on April 15 at 7 p.m. The Tigers are 23-5 overall and tied with Nebraska with a 5-1 league mark heading into a weekend series against Texas A&M in Columbia.

Every Oklahoma State game will be broadcast this season on the KSPI network of stations. Rex Holt, will once again call all of the action for the Cowboys. Former Cowboy coaching great Gary Ward will join Rex in the booth from time to time this season. The 2004 Cowboy Baseball Hall of Fame inductee is spearheading the schools effort in raising money for the renovation of Reynolds Stadium.
