High School: Laura played on the volleyball, basketball, golf and softball teams ... as a freshman she lettered in basketball and golf... she was a three-time participant in the regional golf tournament... was first team All-District in golf... her junior year in softball she was second team in class 27-4A and was honorable mention as a senior... was selected Academic All-State in softball.

Personal: Born on February 22, 1985... she is a business major, focusing in on management information systems... enjoys listening to “3 Doors Down” and “Puddle of Mudd”... her favorite movies are “Shreck 2” and “Braveheart”... her father is an Oklahoma State alumni... she has two sisters, Kristin McAleer and Julie Farrell... is the daughter of Will and Dorrothy Schmidt.
