Defense Continues to Impress the Coaches
April 05, 2005 | Cowboy Football
The Cowboys defensive line continues to stand out. Among the key contributors from the line has been Xavier Lawson-Kennedy, Walter Thomas and newcomer Ryan McBean.
“I liked the effort from XLK,” head coach Mike Gundy said. “I saw him put pressure on the quarterback, and he was making plays on inside runs. I look at XLK and Thomas to step up. Those are guys who have not been real productive and have now decided to contribute to the team. McBean and Josh Pinaire are new guys that have been working hard, as well as Jerry Don Bray.”
“We worked hard on the inside running game so that we can give those running backs some work and toughen those guys up.”
OSU will continue spring drills on Wednesday at 4:10 p.m. at Boone Pickens Stadium.
