Cowgirls Continue Winning Ways
April 05, 2005 | Cowgirl Soccer
In the first game of the day the Cowgirls defeated the Oklahoma ODP 88 squad 2-0. Adriane Radtke and Jamie Markaverich both notched a goal in the first half.
Jeanne Rankin and Erin Stigler combined for the shutout in goal.
The Cowgirls breezed past in-state rival Tulsa 6-1 in the final game of the day. OSU carried a 2-0 lead into halftime thanks to goals from Candice Byler and Jesy Rosholt.
The second period was an offensive explosion as four different Cowgirls got in on the action. Radtke, Cassie Lewis, Byler and Nikki Wojtowicz each tallied a goal against the Golden Hurricane defense.
Rankin earned the start and played all but the final 10 minutes in goal, giving way to Stigler in the closing minutes.
Oklahoma State takes the field for the final time this spring on Saturday, April 9, in Dallas, Texas.
