Cowgirls Sign Texas Prep Standout

STILLWATER, Okla. Â Oklahoma State's women's track and field team signed Anissa Angelosante, from Kingsland, Texas, to a national letter of intent, it was announced Wednesday. She will come to Stillwater as the No. 2 ranked 3,200-meter runner in class 4A of Texas.
“We are excited about signing a highly ranked Texas runner,” head coach Rene Sepulveda said.
Angelosante individual achievements include a 10:58 finish in the 3,200-meter run, at the Texas Relays her junior year. She then posted a 5:07 finish in the mile run.
In 2004, Angelosante set a personal record in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 10:13. She will focus on the 10,000-meter, and 5,000-meter run and will compete with the cross country team.
Angelosante attends Marble Falls High School and will join the Cowgirls in the fall of 2005. She was also sought after by Baylor, Texas Tech, TCU and Samford.
