Two Cowboys Named to European Palmer Cup Team

Martin, a native of Malaga, Spain, has a pair of victories under his belt this season for the top-ranked Cowboy squad and is currently ranked fourth individually in the Golfweek/Sagarin Performance Index. A semifinalist for the Ben Hogan Award, he is also carrying a team-best 70.93 stroke average.
A native of Stockholm. Sweden, Norén tied for second at the Taylor Made/Waikoloa Intercollegiate, finished third at the College All-America Golf Classic and is No. 34 in the latest individual rankings. For Norén, this will mark his second consecutive Palmer Cup appearance, making him the first Cowboy to take part in the competition twice.
The annual Ryder Cup-style event between American collegiate golfers and their counterparts from Europe will be played June 8-9 on the 7,201 yard, par 72 Whistling Straits Irish Course. The Europeans trail the all-time series, 4-3-1, but have claimed the last two Palmer Cups.
