Soccer Blanks SMU To Close Out Spring Season

Oklahoma State's soccer team closed out its spring season on Saturday at the Sting National Showcase with a 2-0 blanking of SMU in front of an estimated crowd of 1,500 at Celebration Park.

Jeanne Rankin went the distance in goal, earning the Cowgirls sixth shutout of the spring. SMU challenged late but the sophomore was solid in goal, making a spectacular save to keep the Mustangs scoreless.

The Cowgirls jumped on SMU early, scoring two goals in the first half to put the pressure on the Mustangs. Cassie Lewis and Jesy Rosholt each scored in the contest.

Oklahoma State finished the spring with a 9-1 record.
