Cowgirls Finish Strong at Texas Relays

AUSTIN, Texas Â– Oklahoma State's women's track and field team had a strong finish at the Texas Relays Saturday, as three Cowgirls finished the 1,500-meter run in the top 10.

Senior Valentina Medina had a third-place finish, with a time of 4:28.75 to lead the Cowgirls in the event. Also for the Cowgirls in the 1,500-meter run, senior Michelle Prowse and freshman Eva Tomankova finished sixth and ninth, respectively.

Senior Paula Ogunbanjo finished third in the triple jump, with a jump of 40-04 (12.29-meters).

The Cowgirls then received a strong performance from senior Halee Prickett in shot put, as she finished sixth.

Oklahoma State will continue outdoor action Wednesday, April 13, as they will travel to the Mt. Sac Relays.
