Cowboy Baseball Edges Past No. 10 Baylor 3-2

The Cowboys took the series and improved to 19-8 overall and 4-2 in Big 12 play, while the Bears fell to 16-10 and 4-2 in league action.
With the game tied at 2-2 in the ninth, Abe Woody got to strikeout before walking and Ty Wright. A passed ball by catcher Zach Dillon allowed both runners to advance a base and that forced Woody to intentionally walk to load the bases. Ptak then hit a high fly ball to right and Parrish tagged from third and slid away from Dillon's tag at home to win the game.
Abe Woody was charged with the loss to drop to 3-1 on the year. He came on in relief of starter Cory Van Allen in the seventh inning and did not allow a hit in 2.2 innings of work. Van Allen allowed two runs on four hits in six innings with a walk and three strikeouts.
Cowboy starter went the distance in his first start of the season to move to 3-1 on the year. He gave up two runs on six hits with six strikeouts and a walk and had a one-hitter through 6.2 innings.
Ty Wright staked OSU to a 1-0 lead in the second with a solo homer to left, his fourth of the year. The Pokes added another run in the third on a RBI single by to make it 2-0.
It stood at that score until the seventh when the Bears used a two-out rally to tie the game on RBI singles by Kevin Russo and Mike Pankratz.
