Cowboys Continue Spring Practice with First Scrimmage

Head coach Mike Gundy was pleased on both sides of the ball. He was happy to see the defense did not allow any big plays, and the offense did not turn the ball over in the cold and rainy conditions.
“What is important to me right now is the operation of the offense, and the defense being able to get adjusted to the no huddle system,” Gundy said. “We have great effort, and the players are hustling. We have some players making some plays so I am happy about it.”
OSU is still early in practice and several key positions are still being fought for through the rest of spring and into the fall. Two of those positions are quarterback and running back where the Cowboys have as many as seven players vying for playing time.
Oklahoma State will continue spring drills next week with a practice Monday afternoon at 4:10 p.m., and at the same time on Wednesday and Thursday before they scrimmage again on Saturday morning at 11:45 a.m.
