Cowboys Go Live in Abbreviated Scrimmage

Oklahoma State's football team resumed spring workouts today with a 70-play live scrimmage at Boone Pickens Stadium.

OSU worked out in full pads and were able to avoid injuries despite all the hitting that was taking place during practice.

Head coach Mike Gundy was pleased with the enthusiasm he saw on both sides of the ball, and enjoyed watching the no huddle offense in action.

The Cowboys have moved players into new positions and the staff got to see their progress. Charlie Johnson is being tried out at offensive tackle after playing tight end the last two years, and Jamar Ransom has moved from safety to inside linebacker.

“I think Jamar Ransom moving from safety down to inside linebacker really helped him,” Gundy said. “I think he is more comfortable running from side to side. It was good to see that today.”

The Cowboys will resume spring drills tomorrow with another practice scheduled at 4:10 p.m. at Boone Pickens Stadium. All practices are open to the public.
