Kansas State Defeats Oklahoma State 9-5

KSU snapped an eight game losing streak to the Cowboys, dating back to the 2002 season, and improved to 13-7 overall and 1-2 in Big 12 play. OSU's six game winning streak was snapped as the Pokes fell to 17-7 on the year and 2-1 in league action.
Cowart (5-0) baffled the Cowboys for eight shutout innings, before tiring in the ninth. The junior allowed three runs, two earned, on seven hits in eight innings of work to remain perfect on the season.
The Wildcats knocked
KSU added two more runs in the seventh, courtesy of a homer by second baseman Eric Durante.. Brandon Farr had a RBI triple in the eighth and Eric Eymann added a RBI single in the ninth to make it 9-0.
The Cowboys, on the verge of being shutout at home for the first time in seven years, rallied for five runs in the ninth, with a two-run single by and a RBI double by the big hits in the stanza.
Daniels gave up five runs on six hits with three walks and three strikeouts in the losing effort. , Ty Wright and each led the Pokes with two hits on the day.
Brandon Farr and Eric Durante led the Wildcat 15 hit attack with three hits each.
