Cowboy Golf Finishes Fourth In Las Vegas

The Cowboys began their final 18 holes one shot out of the lead held by tournament host UNLV, but all five OSU players failed to break par on the day as they slipped four shots behind second-place Georgia and two strokes behind Florida for third place. The Rebels blistered the par-72, 7,510-yard Southern Highlands layout with an 8-under 280 during their final round to run away from the field with a 15-shot victory.
UCLA's Daniel Im won a playoff with South Carolina's Mark Anderson for individual medalist honors after the duo finished tied atop the leaderboard at 209.
Freshman Pablo Martin and junior Zack Robinson tied for 10th place at 216 after carding rounds of 73 and 74, respectively, to lead the way for the Cowboys.
Sophomore Ryan Posey finished tied for 25th with a 6-over 222 total, while fellow sophomore Tyler Leon tied for 33rd at 223 after a closing round of 77.
Senior Alex Norén also posted a 77 on Sunday to give him a54-hole total of 224 to end play tied for 35th.
OSU will return to action on March 18 when it travels to Houston to take part in the Hall of Fame Invitational at Redstone Golf Club.
