Cowgirl Throwers to Compete at NCAA's

Senior Halee Prickett is coming off an emotional second-place finish at the Big 12 Championships, and will compete in the shot put. Prickett is rated as the No. 10 shot putter in the nation.
Senior Delisa McClain will compete as the No. 11 weight thrower in nation, and will look to qualify for the finals. McClain is coming off an impressive performance, winning the Big 12 in the weight throw.
“Coach Steer did a great job of developing Delisa and Halee into NCAA Indoor qualifiers,” head coach Rene Sepulveda said.
This is the first time for the Cowgirls to advance a thrower to the NCAA Indoor Championships, while in the Big 12 Conference.
The University of Arkansas will host the 2005 Indoor Championships, with competition beginning Friday at 2:30 p.m.
