Cowboy Wrestling Honored in the Classroom

Oklahoma State's wrestling team was honored for their performance in the classroom by having seven academic All-Big 12 selections.

OSU's six first team selections and seven total honorees both led the Big 12.

Receiving first team accolades for the Cowboys were senior Mike Christian, senior Ronnie Delk, senior Brett Munson, senior Clark Shouse, junior Kevin Ward and redshirt freshman Daniel Frishkorn.

Recipients of first team honors had to maintain a 3.2 GPA and participate in at least 60 percent of the team's scheduled events. Seniors are waived from the participation criteria.

Junior Zack Esposito was OSU's lone member on the second team by maintaining a 3.0 GPA.

Oklahoma State will try to win its third consecutive Big 12 title on Saturday when it travels to Omaha, Neb., for the Big 12 Championships.
