Cowboy Golf Moves Into Third Place at Puerto Rico Classic

The No. 1-ranked Cowboys' 36-hole total of 565, 11-under, is seven shots off the pace of tournament leader Georgia Tech, which carded a 10-under 278 on Monday to vault to the top of the leaderboard at 558, 18-under. Florida remains in second place after a 283 to moved the Gators to 14-under at 562.
Individually, junior Zack Robinson followed up a first-round 68 with a 1-under 71 to slip one spot into a tie for fifth place at 139, 5-under. The Fort Worth, Texas native will enter tomorrow's final round three shots behind Arizona State's Alejandro Canizares for the individual lead.
Freshman Pablo Martin carded a 71 of his own to remain in a tie for seventh at 140 after opening the event with a 69.
Sophomore Tyler Leon carded the squad's low round of the day with a 2-under 70 to move up 24 spots into a tie for 14th place at 143, while fellow sophomore Ryan Posey rebounded from a first-round 76 with a 71 to move from 66th into a tie for 37th at 147.
Senior Alex Norén posted a 75 to dip into the group tied for 37th after carding an even-par 72 to open play.
OSU will begin its final round on the par-72, 6.945-yard layout tomorrow morning at 5:30 a.m. (CST)
