February 03, 2005 | Cowgirl Soccer
Hope, a forward from Tulsa, Okla., is a member of TSC 87, the 2004 state runner-up. A two-sport standout at Tulsa Hale High School, Hope was named the 2001 MVP and the Best Offensive Player in 2001 and 2002. In 2003 she earned all-district accolades.
“Leah is a goal scoring threat and has scored at each level that she has played,” commented Hancock. “She is a strong athlete and we think she will come in and contribute as a forward. She has the capability of scoring goals at this level and will be a nice addition to our program.”
A native of Highland Village, Texas, Jarrell plays for the Sting 87 Royal Club Team, four-time North Texas State Champs. Jarrell also helped lead the squad to two Region III titles. On the high school level, the defender/midfielder was named the 2003 Alamo Cup Finals MVP and the District 7-58 Midfield MVP.
“Jessica brings a measure of intensity to any position she plays,” stated Hancock. “We think she is a versatile player that can play anywhere outside of the goalkeeping position. We project that she will play in the back but know she will find a way to be on the field in the fall regardless of the position.”
