Cowboy Baseball Hosts BYU In Midweek Action
February 28, 2005 | Cowboy Baseball
The teams will play the second game on Wednesday at 4 p.m. That game time has been changed from the original 7 p.m. start due to the men's basketball game against Texas A&M at 6 p.m.
OSU, 7-4 on the year, played only one game last week, a 2-1 15-inning loss at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Friday. The remaining two games of the series were canceled due to rain and wet field conditions.
The Cowboys are ranked No. 29 by Collegiate Baseball this week. Southpaws Brae Wright (2-0, 1.12 ERA) and Adam Daniels (2-1, 3.68 ERA) will start on the mound Tuesday and Wednesday respectively.
Brigham Young, 2-2-1 on the year, went 1-1-1 at San Jose State over the weekend. The Cougars lost in the opener, 5-4 in 10 innings, before rebounding with a 13-5 win in game two. The teams then played to a 3-3 tie in the third game on Saturday, before it was halted due to BYU's flight plans.
After the midweek series, the Cowboys will travel to Ruston, La., this weekend to take on Louisiana Tech in a three-game set.
