Cowgirls Compete in Last Meet before Big 12 Championships

The highlight of the meet for the Cowgirls came from the throwers.
In the weight throw, senior Delisa McClain finished first with a throw of 66-02.50 (20.18 meters). Freshman Delinour Kirkpatrick finished third in the event with a throw of 53-04.25 (16.26 meters).
Senior Halee Prickett threw for 47-07.25 (14.51 meters) to win the shot put. Freshman Brandi Broaddus had a third-place finish with a throw of 44-02.50 (13.47 meters).
In the 600-yard run, junior Alison Erzinger had a time of 1:25.01 to finish second, and freshman Tihana Sarac finished seventh with a time of 1:30.76.
Freshmen Audry Anderson and Maria Trejo competed in the 3k run finishing second with a time of 10:37.60 and fifth with a time of 11:00.44, respectively.
The Cowgirls will return to action Friday, Feb. 25 at the Big 12 Indoor Championships in Lincoln, Neb., inside the Devaney Center.
